The iconic Code

The Code is based on the iconic visual perception (figurative or icon: understand other forms known if the first structural elements have counterparts on Monday).
This Code is divided into sub-which are;
a) iconological: some images connote anything by tradition. Eg an old man who runs to meet a child, connote "grandpa";
b) aesthetic: the tradition of fruit taste, some configuration is traditionally beautiful - the classic Greek face;
c) Erotic: a thin person (man or woman) seems to us beautiful and desirable, not a fat person. These two types of evaluation is based on conventions, that is, in a historical and sociological settlement recognized;

d) Assembly: here is the articulation - combinatorial rules, sintagmas advance along television, both in the order of the framework, as in the sequence. Ex-based subcode iconological it is understood the relationship "grandfather-grandson."

In addition to these classifications, which would make a good image for television is important to pay attention in the positioning of the element within the video. Each scene must be arranged so as to direct the attention of the viewer to a particular purpose, to feel a specific emotion. For this it calls the techniques of image composition.

The Composition of Image

Arrange the elements within the scene means, in television terms, "compose the picture." To compose the picture, we must consider the existence, within the framework television, elements of which can be identified and classified and through vision.
They are:
a) Mass
b) Line
c) Tom
d) Depth
These elements combined, according Donnas A. Thus forming the so-called "syntax of the picture." It is precisely the game of selection, combination, layout, condesação processing and, finally, the manipulation of these elements that are coded messages television.
Concept
Composition of the image is, therefore, a technique that means choosing and arranging the elements on the scene, intentionally, for causing any effect.

Definition
Can be defined as: the art of arranging the visual elements so that the viewer's attention focuses on the center of the scene.
Is based: the study of the manner in which the man is moved, subconsciously, to train models and relate what you see with your experience of generalized symbols.

Elements of Composition of Image
The elements of composition are essentially the elements of the image, namely:
Mass: composed of artists, scenery, furniture;
Line: the lines are visible on the scene, groups of people, the direction of motion;
Tom and colors: the employment of changes in tones and colors, the brightness and chrominance.
Depth: the actual or apparent depth in which the principles of illusion of perspective take the majority.
These elements can be controlled by the videographer, the set designer and also by Light and, of course, by "video".

Composition of Mass
An image rarely involves just one part of Mass, even the mere taking of an account with the individual presenter, a table, a scene in the background and a symbol of the news.
The higher the number of items of mass that are in a picture, the more complex the problem to arrange for them to get a shot well composed. As the image of TV is small, it's best to keep the detail with minimal emphasis possible.
The key techniques of composition at Mass are;
Symmetry: try never to put elements of Massa in the same line, the symmetry makes it very hard to take. Look for breaking the symmetry readjustment elements. The image will become more balanced.
Intersection of Third: The picture in the center of the video is not the best place to the center of interest. For this, the image should be divided into three, both horizontally as vertically: the points of intersection of lines are the most suitable locations for placing the center of interest. This principle is linked to the theory of the "golden point", the ancient Greeks: they alleged that the centers of interest should be placed at 5 / 8 away inside of either side of the frame.
Triangulation: this is probably the best-known technique of composition. If the center of interest is placed on top of a triangle whose base is based on the bottom edge of the video, the result will be a stable composition, with a well-defined center of interest. This means that objects should be arranged to form a pyramid exactly as it is.
If the general arrangement of the elements suggest a triangulation, the result is an image composed and well balanced. P. ex.: A closeup of an artist, including their shoulders, is more suggestive of a triangulation: the shoulders form the base of the triangle and its center of interest - the face, is on this basis so pleasantly stable. The triangular composition is even more obvious if the presenter include the elbows, which rely on the table; important detail is that the center of interest must be supported by other elements of the scene.
Balance: so that the image is balanced, we can make the arrangement of elements of the video, following the principle of leverage, that is an important positioned slightly to the left of the video, should be offset by another factor of lesser importance, located on the right and a little further away from the center of the video.
Lines
The lines of the image are the lines visible at the scene, as a grouping of objects, artists and scripts or the direction of motion in the video.
When a line is inserted in a socket, its shape and direction are important. The line can define the atmosphere of the scene and may increase the attention of central interest driving the eye, inevitably, to him.
