Márcio Bernardinelli, presidente da Cooamel, afirma que para melhoria nas vendas existe a necessidade de qualificação em todos os processos de produção, para que sejam atendidas as normas da Vigilância Sanitária.
Bernardinelli diz que em breve será construído um local para processar mel, própolis, geléia real e pólen. “A maior parte dos produtores, da região, trabalham artesanalmente. Isso diminui os lucros porque vendem o produto na forma natural. Os ganhos ficam com intermediários”. Para se ter noção, o quilo de mel, em natural, é vendido a R$2,00. Após o processamento, pode chegar a R$13,00.
Luis Hiroshi Shimizu, do CTA (Centro de Treinamento Agropecuário), lembra que o centro dá total apoio a iniciativa. Atualmente a entidade oferece cursos sobre apicultura e meliponicultura. Segundo Hiroshi, o curso dá informações práticas e teóricas aos produtores. “O CTA mantêm dois apiários com 35 colméias. Lá vemos as fases de produção e como se maneja as abelhas. Se o produtor não conhecer alguns dos processos terá pouco lucro”.
José Ivo da Silva, gerente do CTA, relata que os apicultores dispõem de tecnologia para obter ótimos lucros e resultados. No entanto, ele alerta que no mercado são vários os tipos de mel, sendo que muitos são falsificados.
